Title of the Paper: Design and Production of Ceramic Composite Radome
Authors: J. S. Soni, Mohammed Bakhtiyar Uz Zaman, Rakshit Reddy, Mohd Imran, Mohammed Asimdownload

Abstract:
Radomes (Radar Domes) act as electromagnetic window, consisting of domes or housings that shield electronic equipment from disruption and environmental impacts.. It is necessary that they should be structurally strong and have not undergone maximum deterioration in electromagnetic performance. Design of Radome depends on configuration and its composition. As application demands Radome shape and its materials are selected to satisfy the structural and environmental conditions. It is not easy to make an exact analysis for a structural design of a Radome because of its irregular design which is more difficult due to physical condition like Radome material and other factors, such as impact load. The analysis of Radome carried out on the basis of simple assumption or by rigorous methods, which is achieved by Finite Element Analysis. The outcome of any analysis should follow the structural tests.

Title of the Paper: Social Connectedness in the days of Social Distancing
Authors: Shaik Abdul Mazeeddownload

Abstract:
The present worldwide health crisis (COVID-19) has upended familiar patterns of teaching and learning across higher education. Fortunately, we can fall back on well-established systems for online learning, despite the daunting hurdle this has posed for many faculty and students. No matter where we meet with our students, though, whether face to face or electronically, we should never forget that the most important aspect of teaching lies in the relationships we develop with our students. If higher education was simply about conveying facts and information, students could learn whatever they wanted to just by reading a book or a web page. It doesn’t work that way, though, does it? No, our students need us. They need our passion for our academic disciplines. They need our wisdom and insight. They need us to translate and interpret the information in those printed and electronic pages, blended with inspiration and excitement, so that they can comprehend and internalize the instruction we deliver. They need us to demonstrate and explain the skills, processes, and procedures of our academic fields and mentor them as they grow into the next generation of disciplinary practitioners. None of these things is possible without us. We matter far more than many of us realize. Furthermore, all of us feel anxious right now, as we move into an unknown future. Social distancing is the new normal, making it even more essential to strengthen our social connections.

Title of the Paper: Cold Swaging of Zirconium (ZR4) Rods: Force Analysis Using CATIA-V5 and Practical Force Measurement Methods
Authors: J. S. Soni, Dheeraj Joshi, K. Abdul Raheem, N. Harish Kumar Reddy, V. Sai Pavan Sharajdownload

Abstract:
Zirconium alloys are used in various components of a nuclear fuel due to its irradiation strength and very less neutron absorption, these are used for production of clad tubes, end caps, end plates, spacer pads and bearing pads which are used in nuclear fuel cladding which are further used in the Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) and Pressurized Heavy Water Reactor (PHWR). The rods before going for production of end caps should undergo swaging in order to reduce the diameter from 24mm to 16 mm.
Swaging process includes the reduction of cross section of Zirconium rods with annealing process at regular intervals to relieve stresses, so the operation is performed in a number of passes. It is preferred for production of rods over the other cold working process such as wire drawing and pilgering due to its unique advantages over crack formation and line defects. The rod which is being swaged undergoes centrifugal force due to the roller action and hammers in radial direction so force analysis are done in CATIA V5 R19.
Apart from centrifugal action the rod undergoes various other forces which constitute to the production of rod by swaging, so in order to calculate the total load suitable practical measurements are suggested and one method is specified due to the constraint nature of the machine.

Authors: T. Arun, G. Jagadeesh Reddy, U. Madhava Krishna, Umesh Kishore Sharma, J.S. Sonidownload

Abstract:Rocket motors are used as propulsion devices for satellite launch vehicles and missiles. They need guidance and monitoring to fly along a predetermined trajectory and to compensate for flight disturbance. The solid motor contains solid propellant grain. A liner is used as adhesive bond between the propellant grain and the insulation which acts as a thermal protection layer which protects the motor case from combustion products. An igniter is used to ignite the grain. It also uses the nozzle which helps in providing the desired thrust. This paper presents the Finite Element Analysis and experimental validation. To complete the above difficult task, the working principle of different mechanisms for thrust vector control was addressed the critical issues in the design and development of large rocket motors. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) was used to examine the adequacy of the flex seal design by using ANSYS software. FEA results show the predominant stresses that are developed in the inner diameter of rocket motor casing utilizing ANSYS software package.
